Websites for local businesses: questions we get asked
How many pages does a local-business website need?+
Usually 6–12: home, a page per core service, a service-area or locations page, about, reviews and contact. Service and city pages are what bring local search traffic, so we plan those first.
Do you write the copy and take the photos?+
Yes. Copywriting for local search is included in every website project, and we can arrange a photo shoot or select and edit stock photography so the site does not look like a template.
Who owns the website after launch?+
You do — the domain, the hosting account, the code and the design files are all in your name. There is no lock-in and no long-term contract.
Can I edit the site myself?+
Yes. If you want to edit content in-house we build on WordPress or Webflow with a simple editor and train your team; if speed is the priority we build on Next.js and make changes for you as part of a monthly care plan.
What is included in the price?+
Discovery and competitor review, sitemap and page structure, custom design, copywriting, development, forms and booking integration, Google Business Profile, GA4 and call-tracking setup, and launch on your domain.
How much does a local-business website cost at EastOrca?+
Small business websites cost $3,000–$5,000 and custom websites $5,000–$10,000; complex projects may exceed $10,000. Final pricing depends on scope and functionality — pages, integrations, copy and photos — and is fixed after a free 20-minute call, before any design starts. Maintenance and SEO are priced separately.
